The legendary songstress-turned-actress Vanessa Williams allowed us a peek into her luxurious garage located on the infamous Muholland Drive in Los Angeles— which houses two beautiful Maseratis: a GranTurismo Convertible and Coupe.
The Italian manufacturer’s 2011 GranTurismo Convertible is a car that best exemplifies the pillars of the modern House of the Trident: Design, Craftsmanship, Comfort and Performance. These four elements are carefully combined to honor a heritage of benchmark-setting grand touring machines recognized across the world.
Admitting that the elegance and design of her GranTurismo is a guaranteed head turner, Williams loves the combination of the curves, plus the powerful sound of its engine that makes her driving experience truly unique. Ever since she first received the Cambiocorsa for her 40th birthday, Williams has been in love with Maseratis since.
The engine, the heart of all fine Italian cars and what Williams loves, is compact and placed low and behind the front axle the same layout as the most successful Maserati competition cars. The result is a well-balanced automobile, which inspires confidence in its pilot, and provides comfort for its passengers.
Befitting the uniquely Italian coachbuilt tradition defined by its Pininfarina styling, the GranTusimo Convertible further enables the owner to select from a vast array of colors, materials and trim in order to commission a Maserati that suits any and all particular individual tastes
“Maserati in general is a wonderful combination of understated power and elegance under that regal Trident logo,” she explains. “It’s an extension of my personality, which is perceived as graceful and refined on the outside, but underneath there’s a speedy engine that's carefree and willing to take risks.”
