Tinseltown sparkled with its newest and brightest stars at the 12th Annual Young Hollywood Awards on May 13th. Hosted by MH+L’s very own Mario Lopez, the event, which has been dubbed the “Oscars  of Young Hollywood”, recognized up and coming talent making waves in film, television, and music. The guest list included presenters Jennie Garth, Jessica Stroup, Ashley Greene, and Ben Stiller, just to name a few.


True to form, the Hollywood event, became fodder for the gossip mill with its attendees and noticeably absent celebs. Teen queen Miley Cyrus skipped the affair and missed her main squeeze Liam Hemsworth accept the YH Breakthrough Award. Out of sight did not mean out of mind for Hemsworth as he made sure to thank Cyrus and her father for their support in his blossoming career. Cyrus’ absence saved her a possibly awkward run-in with ex Nick Jonas, who arrived with brothers Kevin and Joe to celebrate the youngest Jonas’ award for Artist of the Year.  The brothers discussed their big plans for the summer which include a solo trip to Cabo for Joe. Big bro Kevin passed on the trip as he had just returned from the very same hot spot for his honeymoon!

 

With great food, music and endless mixing and mingling, the event proved to be the perfect ending to an already perfect day.
